Born and raised in Italy, Rabbi Yossi Garelik studied in the Yeshiva of Milan and the Rabbinical Colleges of America and Australia before continuing his studies at the Central Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Brooklyn, NY. In 1989 he was instructed by the Rebbe to study for Dayanus, completing his studies and being ordained as a rabbi by his father, Rabbi Gershon Mendel Garelik, z”l, and Rabbi Mordechai Ashkenazi, z”l, of Kfar Chabad, Israel. Rabbi Garelik has led Anshei Lubavitch since 2013. With Rabbi Garelik’s ceaseless backing, each passing day sees the Shuls programs expand  and open to more and more people. Under his leadership, membership has grown to include many families in its new area and anyone and everyone who walks in is welcomed with open arms and immediately gains a sense of belonging.
